Alcoa continues successful rehabilitation of jarrah forest ecosystem

Rehabilitated forest at our Huntly Bauxite Mine, approximately 25 years after completion of topsoil return and seeding. Rates of tree growth are equivalent to those observed in unmined parts of the Northern Jarrah Forest.

Alcoa has a successful record of rehabilitating the jarrah forest in Western Australia and is the first mining company to receive recognition from the United Nations for rehabilitation excellence. Read the full article.
